Pipedrive Integration
Connect your Pipedrive CRM account to Revelry Ai to interact with your sales data directly through chat. Once connected, Revelry Ai can query and work with your deals, contacts, organizations, activities, and notes using MCP tools, including creating and updating records, not just reading them.
Prerequisites
- An active Pipedrive account
- Your Pipedrive API token and subdomain
- Manage Integrations permission in Revelry Ai
- The Pipedrive integration must be enabled for your organization
What You Can Do
The Pipedrive integration provides a comprehensive set of tools across six entity types:
Deals
- Search deals by term, and list them filtered by status, pipeline, stage, person, organization, or owner
- List the deals in a specific pipeline
- View a deal's details, stage, and value
- Create and update deals, including custom fields
Persons (Contacts)
- Search contacts by name, email, phone, notes, or custom fields
- List contacts filtered by owner or organization, and view a contact's details
- Create and update persons, including custom fields
Organizations
- Search and list organizations, and view an organization's details
- Create and update organizations, including address and custom fields
Activities
- List activities filtered by done or not done, owner, deal, person, or organization
- View an activity's details
- Create and update activities
Notes
- List the notes on a deal, contact, or organization, optionally within a date range
- View a note
- Create and update notes
Metadata
- List pipelines and their stages, and list users
- Discover deal, person, and organization fields, including custom fields and dropdown options
Create and update for deals, persons, and organizations can set custom fields. The AI looks up each field's API key first (a 40-character hash from the deal, person, or organization field tools). Dropdown and enum fields take the numeric option id, not the label.
Lists and searches come back a page at a time. For large result sets the AI may make several calls or ask you to narrow the request.
Write actions require approval. Tools that create or update records go through the approval gate: the AI proposes the change and you confirm it before it's written to Pipedrive.
Connecting Pipedrive
- Go to the Integrations page (under My Organization in your account menu at the bottom of the left navigation)
- Switch to the Shared tab (Pipedrive is an organization-level integration)
- Find Pipedrive and click Connect MCP Tool
- In the Configure Pipedrive MCP Tool dialog, enter your API Token and your Subdomain
- Click Save Configuration
Revelry Ai validates the token against Pipedrive before saving it. If validation fails, the error message tells you why.
Finding Your API Token
- Log in to Pipedrive
- Go to Settings (gear icon) > Personal preferences > API
- Copy your Personal API token
Finding Your Subdomain
Your subdomain is the first part of your Pipedrive URL. For example, if you access Pipedrive at https://yourcompany.pipedrive.com, your subdomain is yourcompany. Enter only the subdomain, not the full URL.
Using Pipedrive in Chat
Once connected, the AI can access your Pipedrive data during chat conversations when the Pipedrive integration is enabled:
- Start or continue a chat
- Make sure Pipedrive is enabled in the Chat Tools menu (under Integrations)
- Ask questions about your CRM data naturally
Example prompts:
- "Show me all deals in the negotiation stage"
- "What activities are scheduled for this week?"
- "Find all contacts at Acme Corp"
- "Summarize the notes on the Johnson deal"
- "What's our pipeline value by stage?"
- "Create a follow-up activity on the Acme deal for next Tuesday"
- "Set the Industry field on Acme Corp to Construction"
The AI will call the appropriate Pipedrive tools, and you'll see tool execution cards showing what data was retrieved.
Managing the Connection
- Navigate to Integrations and open Pipedrive on the Shared tab
- Click Manage Connection to replace the token or subdomain
- Click Disconnect in the configuration dialog to remove the integration
Disconnecting deletes the stored credentials from Revelry Ai and disables the Pipedrive tools for everyone in your organization. The API token itself stays valid in Pipedrive.
Rate Limiting
The integration paces its own requests to stay within Pipedrive's API limits, and trims each record to its key fields so large result sets fit in the conversation.
Troubleshooting
The Pipedrive card is missing. The integration may not be enabled for your organization. Contact your Revelry Ai team.
Saving fails on the subdomain. Enter only the subdomain (for example mycompany), not a full URL.
Saving fails on the token. Check for copy and paste errors, and confirm the token has not been regenerated in Pipedrive. A regenerated token invalidates the old one.
Chat says "Pipedrive API rate limit exceeded". Either Pipedrive throttled the request or Revelry Ai's own pacing kicked in. Wait a moment and try again.
A custom or dropdown field did not change. Custom fields write on deals, persons, and organizations. Dropdowns take the numeric option id, not the label. Ask the AI to look up the field definitions and retry. If it reported success and nothing changed, the field key or option id was probably wrong.
