Bluebeam Integration
Connect your Bluebeam account to Revelry Ai to bring Bluebeam Studio into chat. Once connected, the AI can look up your Studio Projects and Sessions, list the documents in a Session, and read the markups on a document, all scoped to what your own Bluebeam account can see.
Bluebeam is a personal integration. Each user connects their own Bluebeam ID, so results always match your individual Studio permissions.
Prerequisites
- A Bluebeam account on a Core, Complete, or Max plan. Basics plan accounts cannot authorize API access
- A Bluebeam ID that signs in to the US Bluebeam region
- The Bluebeam integration must be enabled for your organization
What You Can Do
- List the Studio Projects you can access
- List the Studio Sessions you can access, with each session's status
- Get a Session's details: name, status, restrictions, and owner
- List the documents in a Session
- Read the markups on a document in a Session: type, author, status, and comment
All Bluebeam tools are read-only. They never change anything in Studio, so none of them go through the approval gate.
Connecting Bluebeam
- Go to the Integrations page (under My Organization in your account menu at the bottom of the left navigation)
- Open the Personal tab
- Find Bluebeam and click Connect
- Sign in with your Bluebeam ID and allow the request
- You'll be redirected back to Revelry Ai with the connection marked Connected
The only permission Revelry Ai asks Bluebeam for is to stay connected without asking you to sign in again. What the tools can see is governed entirely by your own Studio permissions.
There are no settings to configure after connecting.
Using Bluebeam in Chat
Once connected, the AI can use Bluebeam during chat when the integration is enabled:
- Start or continue a chat
- Open the Chat Tools menu, choose Integrations, and switch Bluebeam Studio on
- Ask about your Studio content naturally
Example prompts:
- "Which Studio Sessions am I in right now?"
- "List the documents in the Level 3 coordination session"
- "Summarize the open markups on the structural drawings in that session"
- "Who added markups to sheet A-201 and what did they say?"
The AI calls the appropriate Bluebeam tools, and you'll see tool execution cards showing what was retrieved. The same toggle is available in the skill builder, so skills can use Bluebeam tools when they run.
Sessions and Projects you cannot open in Revu or Studio will not appear in results.
Managing the Connection
- Navigate to Integrations and open Bluebeam on the Personal tab
- The page shows the connection status and the access granted
- Click Disconnect to remove the connection
Disconnecting deletes the stored credentials from Revelry Ai and disables the Bluebeam tools for you. It does not affect anyone else's connection. To also revoke Revelry Ai's access in Bluebeam, remove it from your Bluebeam ID account settings.
Troubleshooting
The Bluebeam card is missing. The integration may not be enabled for your organization. Contact your Revelry Ai team.
Authorization fails at Bluebeam. Confirm your account is on a Core, Complete, or Max plan. Basics accounts cannot authorize API access, and Revelry Ai cannot detect the plan ahead of time.
Chat says "Bluebeam is not connected". Connect your account from the Integrations page, then switch Bluebeam Studio on in the Chat Tools menu.
Chat says "Your Bluebeam connection needs to be restored". Bluebeam rejected the stored credentials, usually because access was revoked from your Bluebeam ID settings. Reconnect from the integration page. Normal token expiry is handled automatically and never needs a reconnect.
Chat says "Bluebeam rate limit exceeded". Bluebeam limits how many requests an app can make. Wait the number of seconds shown and try again.
A session or project you expect is missing. Results are limited to what your Bluebeam account can access in Studio. Check that you are a member of the Session or Project in Studio and that you connected the right Bluebeam ID.
