Artifact Types

Artifact Types in Revelry allow you to categorize and manage different kinds of Artifacts specific to your organization's needs. You have the ability to create as many custom Artifact Types as you want.

Examples of Artifact Types:​

  • Blog Post
  • Technical Documentation
  • User Story
  • Roadmap
  • Feature List

Creating an Artifact Type​

Use the New Artifact Type button in the Artifact Types list to create one.

Editing an Artifact Type​

To edit an Artifact Type, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Artifact Types: Click your name at the bottom of the left navigation, then Artifact Types under My Organization.
  2. Select Artifact Type: Click on the artifact type you wish to edit.
  3. Edit Artifact: Click on the ‘Edit Artifact’ button and update the Name field as necessary.
  4. Save Changes: Click ‘Save Artifact Type’ to apply the changes.

Deleting an Artifact Type​

Artifact Types can only be deleted if there are no generated artifacts of that type and no skills associated with the artifact type. To delete an artifact type:

  1. Ensure No Dependencies: Confirm that there are no generated artifacts or skills associated with the artifact type you wish to delete.
  2. Navigate to Artifact Types: Open Artifact Types under My Organization in your account menu.
  3. Select Artifact Type: Choose the artifact type you want to delete.
  4. Delete Artifact Type: Click ‘Edit Artifact’ then ‘Delete Artifact Type’ and confirm the deletion. Note: If there are existing artifacts or skills associated with the artifact type, you will need to remove those dependencies before proceeding with the deletion.

Viewing Artifact Types​

  1. Navigate to Artifact Types List: Open Artifact Types under My Organization in your account menu.
  2. View List: The page lists every artifact type in your organization.
